yeah DTB method is best if its a public restroom because it does accidentally tear (like if you pull too fast or if its a full roll and it can’t, you know roll) and then the floor gets covered in little bits of tp. also for other who have done the public restroom cleaning thing, whose is dirtier Men’s or Women’s?

my thoughts on toilet paper (because i have thought about this before):

the over-the-top method of hanging (OTT), is, i believe, the best way to hang the toilet paper. it allows for the shortest distance for the hand to travel and the easiest way to grab the toilet paper. the paper is hanging in plain view, and so the grabber is less likely to miss on first grab.

however, the OTT method has its drawbacks. first, if the roll is too close to the toilet, then it may be uncomfortable to have it hung OTT. the paper may brush against the skin, causing goosebumps and strange sexual fantasies, which are usually fun while pooping, though maybe not for everyone, so ok. also, depending on the strength and width and thickness of the paper and the paper-holder, the OTT is prone to tearing. the down-the-bottom (DTB) method of hanging generally eliminates tearing when tearing is not wanted due to forces beyond the author’s comprehension (read: basic physics probably).

that being said, the author usually prefers the OTT method to the DTB, except in rare cases, which he already went over, yes he did.
