He'd joked earlier about the silliness of book signings and encouraged people to rip up his books (he gave away copies to those attending)...but 30 minutes later when he was getting nailed in the head by pimply teens...i think it got to be a bit much. Reminds me of a Neal Pollack reading I went to in Austin where people started balling up pages from his book and throwing it as his head. He’d joked earlier about the silliness of book signings and encouraged people to rip up his books (he gave away copies to those attending)…but 30 minutes later when he was getting nailed in the head by pimply teens…i think it got to be a bit much.
