Dalkey Archive’s Holiday Sale
Yeah, I know this won’t make up for my being HTMLGIANT’s least useful contributor (by far), but telling you about the ridiculously good Dalkey Archive holiday sale has to count for something. Right?
What if I drop a few names?

Stanley Crawford’s Log of the SS the Mrs Unguentine is a gem.
Haven’t read Nest of Ninnies yet but they just sent it to me & I can’t wait.
Dalkey = yes, pretty much all the time.
Which John Hawkes books? Travesty is a miracle from hell. Death, Sleep & The Traveller is pretty great too. Whistlejacket would have been better without most of part 3. Couldn’t parse Lime Twig. he can be a tough customer. But seriously: TRAVESTY.

I’d recommend Sorrentino’s Blue Pastoral. Getting into it myself now and it’s quite good.
Summer in Termuren by Boon is also rather worthwhile.
Would be interested to hear what you all pick up.

oh also Christine Schutt’s Nightwork and both Diane Williams books–especially the Selected Stories–and Barthelme’s Paradise, plus any 2 of the 4 David Markson books, if you don’t already have ’em.
Yeah their only Hawkes is Whistlejacket, which I can only recommend with half a heart. Not the place to start on Hawkes, if you’re not already a fan.

i should have waited and spent more time with the catalog to make sure i didn’t want to go with the 20 for $110. worst case i get another 5 for $35, but then i might as well do 10 for $60 and pay an extra $10 for not doing that the first time. damn.

I’m on goddamn unemployment and I’m pretty seriously considering the 20 for 110 arrangement.
