ben and i have been reading this since running into jeremy and justin at the lutz/butler/lopez reading. it’s a really beautiful object. i think my favorite thing so far is matthew zapruder’s poem about sitting in an airport bar and listening to a mediocre band and being strangely and suddenly moved by it all.
“knowing that this would happiest time of his life, living in this small midwestern city, writing stories about the people who lived in the town’s tallest building” or something like that (i don’t have my copy with me, i’m at work.) i love those kinds of moments.

it’s funny much weight well-designed covers have in my decision-making process but yeah, this looks great
I’ve been enjoying this since AWP. Over the weekend, I saw a random person (to me anyway) on the subway with a copy. I was like, “They’re really doing it!” Also, it has a satisfying flop to it. Good job.
