“Person” gets extra points for being described on its website as “a good-ass novel”. I mean, who doesn’t want to read a good-ass novel?
Nice list. I love lists. I’ve been looking forward to Pink’s novel for a while now. Also excited about ‘How They Were Found’ and ‘Look! Look! Feathers!’ Glad that American Vampire is on the list. Vertigo consistently produces good stuff. I’m looking forward to 1Q84 this time next year.
It took everything I had not to just type American Vampire in all caps again and again and again. And I am so very sick of vampires.
Wow, Steve Katz! That book sounds amazing…
First time I’ve heard anyone mention that fine, funny, funny writer…
“This is the story about Faust, and how he loved the girls better than he loved his homestead, and how he plowed the former deeper than he did the latter.”
Major thanks for the tip-off…

American Vampire might end up being my first foray into the graphic novel. Scott Snyder is too good to pass up. And I feel like by teaming up with old S.K. he’ll get some good popular press and retroactively create some buzz for Voodoo Heart.

You know that art world version of Project Runway? In one episode, this guy drew a picture of a man giving himself a blowjob. He was eliminated. One of the judges said: you should have taken a picture of you giving yourself a blowjob. The other judges nodded.

Boy–I love those Quays. Their Slurpee Brain Freeze ad is… the best. Thanks for the heads-up.
I like when you do stuff like this, Christopher Higgs. I’m going to try to acquire them all, then read them until I fall over.
Person is killer. I’m going to love it forever.

Can’t go wrong with OR Books. I just finished INFERNO. Now I understand a few things I didn’t understand before:
