i do believe it was aguirre
yeah aguirre. thought maybe fitzcarraldo. you can see how either’d drive them mad.
i should rewatch “my best fiend.” the jesus tour scenes are very fine.

One of my favorite books of all time, Kinski’s autobiography, All I Need is Love. Highly recommended.
I made the mistake of lending it to someone… replacement copies begin at $110: http://www.amazon.com/All-Need-Love-Klaus-Kinski/dp/0394549163
But it’s my dream to reissue it with an intro by Herzog…

Yeah, it’s easy to be ironic with Kinski’s enthusiasms. If anybody had a right to, though, it would’ve been Herzog, and as far as I can tell, he never did. And then quote for quote, aphorism for aphorism, I can totally see where Kinski was coming from with each of these quips.
Enjoy your schadenfreude, I don’t think you’re gonna get very far with it, though.
