It’s actually sort of a crappy book. His tweets are also shite; it’s why I never follow “celebrities.” It’s all promo shit like: “I’ll be at such and such bookstore signing, but only for two hours.” Yea? Fuck you then.
Now, this I’ll have to read. I have hated Metallica since they put out that Spinal Tap black album in ’91, and the documentary Some Kind of Monster only confirmed my judgment of them. What surprised me in the doc was how depressed and envious Mustaine was at Metallica’s Arena-sized success. Megadeth made compelling music well into the 90’s, while Metallica drowned in their own Bob Rock-produced crap.
