I Like __ A Lot

Only the Hulk could have attempted it! Only the Hulk would have been capable of it! Only the Hulk could have done it!!

Pretty much my favorite two pages in comics, ever:

From "A Titan Rides the Train," in Tales to Astonish v. 1 #63 (January 1965). Written by Stan Lee (who else?); drawn by Steve Ditko.

I just wanted to share. (Click on it once or twice to see the whole thing.)

I first read this when it came out.  I was 13 years old and didn’t like it — it seemed amateurish to me — but then I was a DC kid.

Everything that appears amateurish about it is precisely what I like, I think. I can’t believe it actually exists.

I first read it in the back of Incredible Hulk #400 (December 1992); I was an avid collector of Peter David’s run on the title (1987–98). I’m still a fan. And today, Steve Ditko is one of my favorite comics artists.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the physics of this one.

That’s your problem right there.  You should *punch* the physics. With your MUSCLES

      EXACTLY.
