      GVSB were created out of the ashes of Soulside, from DC(Soulside were on Dischord – GVSB were on Touch & Go).

      I vote for GVSB, but like by a nose. And maybe just because I bought an album by Firewater (which was the post-CSC band, right?) a while ago, and it made me sad. It sounded like the soundtrack to a frat party, but the kind of frat where its members would say “Yeah, it’s a fraternity, but it’s not, like, that kind of fraternity, you know?” And you’re all like, “OH YES IT IS, my friend. OH YES IT IS.”

      Oh course, y’all should know that Johnny Temple, the publisher of Akashic is in Girls Versus Boys. Great song by them, sounds like The Fall. And I think both of these bands had two bass players!
