      I was watching some Cocteau clips last night, they are so varied depending on what time period. There was a clip of her on Jay Leno which was pretty crazy, she was doing this trilly thing and being rather animated. The one time I saw them live, in the mid 80s or so, she had extreme stage fright, she stood there clutching her own hand and letting it go over and over. But her singing was spot on. It was so weird that nobody wanted to look at her and we call kind of faced away from the stage and just listened. That was their first US tour though, and I heard they got “better”.
