PANK looks great (both anniversary issue content…including a fantastic William Walsh piece) and layout (good job, Gene).

Can’t wait to read the new Collagist.

The Collagist review of Josh Weil’s book makes me more excited to hear him read in Baltimore at the 510 readings later this year.

And check out Paula Bomer’s PANK piece, too. Damn.
“She noticed the driver look into his rearview mirror and give her an unkind stare. For some reason, this really bothered Edie and she began to breathe too quickly. The driver of the car Richard and she had taken when Bertie was born had been jolly, congratulatory.”

Not that I’m BIASED or anything, but Paula’s story is… out of this world.

Ha, Roxane, that’s a fucking great get. The whole issue is wonderful. The final image of the William Walsh story will stay with me awhile (uh, I mean that in a literary way, only). Um, yeah.

Paul Bomer’s stuff kicks ass. PANK got it right. Still, I wish I had her legs.

Ha, Janey, that is classic. She runs a lot, I hear. I have chicken legs, myself, even my mom said “Bawk bawk” when I entered the room once, shattered me.

The way death will make you want to attempt life.

Best line I’ve seen in the Collagist yet. Sophomore slump, my ass.
