Netherland. Can someone please tell me why people think this book is good?

Oh, and The Shack. That book (phenominon?) is long overdue for a serious shredding.

I wrote somewhere about how I hated that O’Neil book awhile back. I think I used the term ‘overrated’. James Wood shit the bed on this one.

The alchemist has been on the nyt trade paperback bestseller list for 108 weeks–as long the trade paperback list has been around. It was published twenty years ago.

People who read every Murakami book. Fuck them up.

Bud Lite Wheat beer, fuck that up.

People who do not eat nachos. Fuck them up.

there is good thug rap, good smart rap, and good rap.

Wu-Tang Clan is the pinnacle of hip-hop. Everything flows from there. Public Enemy is 2nd.

Cee-lo is the best Southern rapper of all time, but that is not saying much. Southern rap generally sucks. Andre3000 is next and then Scarface.

Killer Mike is a great storyteller.

I enjoyed Lil Jon, but I may have been listening to him ironically.

Cypress Hill, Onyx, Naughty by Nature. Killah Priest. Shyheim.

I like the Beastie Boys’ 80s stuff, but I wouldn’t have mentioned them if you didn’t bring them up.

  50. Lincoln

Cee-Lo is a mediocre rapper and southern rap is great. Big Boi is also a better rapper than Andre, though maybe not a better music maker. Scarface and Geto Boys are great though.

3 6’s ‘da unbreakables’ is the pinnacle of thug rap. the rest of their shit is spotty, but that record is heavy. in the slummiest way possible. which is why.

public enemy, i dont know man. they are way overrated, for my money. like wallpaper. sure, good wallpaper. but they don’t move me.
