I was lucky enough to be at this thing. It was pretty amazing.

What an interplay of minds, subject matter, readings coiling around one another. Reminds me of Cecil Taylor and Max Roach duets. One of the better literary conversations I’ve heard.

Interesting. The other day I was standing in Brookline Booksmith browsing through Witz thinking about big, poly-whatever novels and their varied fates–but also wondering why no one on HTML Giant has ever mentioned McElroy. Do folks here read McElroy?

Before I seem to sound all indignant and well-read, I should just say that only I’ve read but was pretty crazy about A Smuggler’s Bible. Yet that was years ago and although I’ve been on the verge of committing to Lookout Cartridge for a few months, I haven’t really pulled the trigger.

Anyway, thanks for this. Which is pretty great.
