Great Sheentences: “I  don’t have burnout my gearbox. I just go.” and “Everything after but is dial tone.” Joyce and Beckett, respectively. And Jean Cocteau said this: “It is excruciating to be an unbeliever with a spirit that is deeply religious.” He sleeps with a good mask, behind the click. And Mike Meginnis made something huge, ASCII, and goodly terrifying looking: Angband, or His 55 Desires.

Thanks for posting about Mike’s essay, Ken! I can’t tell you how excited I was to publish it, and I appreciate you spreading the word.

nothing beats this sheentence: “Yeah. I am on a drug. It’s called Charlie Sheen. It’s not available because if you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. Too much?”

though now i’m kinda seein that’s more like 6 sentences, though given the way he’s speakin as of late, you could easily replace those .s with ;s.

Unless he’s faking it ha ha, Sheen’s in a celebrity-entitlement cave, but, for such a spoiled star, most of what he says isn’t that irrational.

He’s way less cray zee – and less destructive – than the Rove administration, or social-conservative geology or fiscal-conservative mathematics, or ‘investment’ ‘bank’ ‘management’ ‘executive’ rationalization.

I’d choose Sheen over Scott Walker to run a hospital or a movie studio or even a stop-n-rob, or to have pretty much any conversation with.

I actually agree with and enjoy most of what Sheen has been saying. The reason why people are throwing their arms up in horror is because he refuses to censor himself and play the media game anymore. Good for him. The anti-AA stuff is all perfectly correct; AA does only have a 5% rate. It is often cultish. And you can just stop – or go back to non problematic drug use – if your self will is strong enough. There was no reason to cancel his show just because he was doing coke and banging hookers. Thats his right, isnt it? So long as he isnt robbing anyone to fund his drug use why should anybody even give a shit? Good for him you earned that bread you can do whatever the fuck you want with it.

As for the accusations of anti semitism – nonsense, as evidenced by the fact that not even the sensation hungry US mass media bothered to run with that non-story.

I like Sheen. We need more people like him.

I actually really like Scott Walker though. “the Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore” is a beautiful track. What did HE do to inspire such ire?

Oh, you mean the other Scott Walker. Well yeah, fuck him.
