I’ll bet those limited edition copies are gorgeous, though the picture doesn’t shed much light on them.

Correction: It was “Baby Leg” not “Last Days”

      Okay, that’s a lie.

Baby Leg is, like, some sort of necessary sequel, though.

So, like, buy it, too, folks.

(Limited edition copies are WAAAAY gorgeous. Also gorgeous is: ALL BRIAN EVENSON.)

Both books in their limited edition form are gorgeous. Evenson is one of those difficult authors if you’re a completist – many limited edition items, broadsheets, books like the two mentioned here, special PR items from his publishers, etc. That and the guy has new stories coming out it seems every month in literary journals. As Matthew notes though – all is near necessary to find, and enjoy.

Congrats to Underland – nothing like coming out of the gate with great, great material. Won’t be surprised to find Finch pulling off some Fantasy awards too.

And Tyrant – Baby Leg is a great read and a great, great physical object and the cover of the new Eugene Marten looks fantastic as well. Another publishing house coming out of the gate like a freaking rocket.

so this means we can call Evenson a genre author and start arguing about genre titles again, right?

that’s great to hear – he’s one of the guys, like stephen graham jones and benjamin percy, who are battling to blur the lines between genre and lit, and succeeding

Certainly he is sometimes a genre author, and I really hope people will not want to argue about that: he is great, genre can be great, el fin.
