Ken Baumann—
In celebration of Mr. Kimball’s & Mr. Devine’s appearance tonight, I’m giving two copies of WORDS away. Make a sentence out of these words: a, and, it, dog, runs, mother, blood, diamond, tired, heavy, wall, takes, glimpses, eats, burnt, opaque, crams, the, him, her, dead, fall, yes, their. Add your email. I’ll pick two favorites by the 9pm PST.
Wow, one sentence? Is that even possible?
Yes, eats, the dog mother crams him and runs it heavy, their dead tired blood opaque, her takes burnt, a diamond wall, glimpses fall.
It takes a few moments, with so few glimpses, to see how the pregnant dog runs, how it eats, as quite similar to the actions of an expectant human mother; that whereas the dog might hungrily devour trash, so, too, the mother crams craved for crap into her mouth, their goals the same, to nourish the things within their bellies with shared blood; and in their tired eyes, their heavy hips, their penchant for backing up against walls to protect at least in one direction, we see that the instinct for protection reigns supreme, even though, even if, in both cases, their goal of transforming the coal from him through long gestation something if not in luster yet in value diamond-like, and yet denying all the while the possibility that their product might come out with opaque eyes, dead.
It crams their dog, eats a burnt mother, glimpses him/her dead, yes, opaque blood runs heavy, tired, and the diamond wall takes a fall.
A mother dog eats him, yes; it runs — crams the burnt heavy wall, blood tired — her dead glimpses diamond opaque, and takes their fall.
Their glimpses fall, yes the heavy mother eats dog and diamond, her blood it burnt him, a wall takes opaque dead, it crams tired, runs.
Her fall: a tired mother glimpses their dead dog’s burnt, opaque blood, “Diamond, yes!” wall-runs and takes him, eats, crams it.

Diamond: the wall glimpses the dead, the opaque, the blood, and heavy with it takes its edges and lines up, pyramidal, with brethren; the refracted dog eats cushions ceaselessly, the tired mother forever mouthing “yes” through her burnt toast, their window showing endless fall while a torrent of leaves crams every hole in him, forcing bodily putrefaction, shifting loam.

13 Ways of Looking at a Blood Diamond or Her Dead Wedding
You’ll punch out your mother in the dressing room
at Saks, the crams of your belly can’t take her
touching (later when other brides say: tired,
say: heavy) (nobody eats) you’ll wonder what’s
got them burnt up (their glimpses opaque, a fall)
now your dress is stashed in the wall and you’re left
with a him pretending the dog is Robert
Pattinson–you said yes and it runs.
can’t leave that shit unrevised. there. voila. perfect syllabics.
