any matured idea? i’m confused, i don’t think i get it. i know a matured woman can destroy most any boy. that makes sense. but a matured idea? does that mean like a generalized something that you live with and its layers unfold and are revealed to you as life-experiences pique your mind for different volts and registers?

voice imitator is slammin.

The Voice Imitator *is* slammin, but very different from the (mostly) unparagraphed, recursive, ranty novels and memoirs he’s most famous for. It took me a while to warm up (if that’s the word) to TVI; at first I found it flat and pretty annoying. My way in was realizing that many or most of the stories are written in the style of old-fashioned newspaper pieces — which taken together, make for a very weird newspaper indeed. (Many, many pages of love for/vituperation against newspapers in Bernhard’s other novels.)

i asked the same question, i suppose we may never know. i tried to offer my own tentative understanding as a possible interpretation, but the void is large and swallows all voices that do not echo its own name.

i know you are transmeaning in general. but i am both fascinated and plagued by meaning, as a phenomenon and as an application.

it means if you build a perfect cone in the forest and stick your sister in it you’re in love with you’re pretty much fucked, is what it means.

oh. im kinda stoopid. I thought that quote was from someone who was saying something. Like advice quotes. When someone is giving me advice, I like to understand what they’re trying to tell me I gotta do.
If its from a book, I can run with it as there is no personified intent behind it. Personified intent? whatever… you know what I mean…
