“When someone was going through a particularly hard time, we sent each other packages.”
While we’re on the recommendation circuit, let me recommend Elizabeth Ellen’s brilliant essay “Stalking Dave Eggers” in the latest issue of Bookslut. It’s funny, sad, thoughtful, full of amazing parenthetical asides, wide-ranging in a clever way and honest in the best of ways. Click if you want to read about how we live in the age of clicking.

This reminds me of the film about suicides from the Golden Gate Bridge and how many of the people who jumped had extensive/obsessive internet relationships. I think the film is called The Bridge?
It’s an excellent essay and I think would have been better served had the original title been maintained: How I Stopped Loving Dave Eggers and Stole Your MFA
I really don’t remember that part of “The Bridge,” but I found that documentary to be incredibly depressing.

Agh. Between university work and jobhunting, I have no time to read any of this stuff at the minute. There are so many great-looking posts going up on here every day, taunting me.
As soon as my holidays begin I’m going to dedicate a day just to catching up with HTMLGiant.
