Ryan Trecartin is a Mommy Blogger

You may or may not be familiar with the brilliant, confounding, and now frequently imitated work of Ryan Trecartin. He is perhaps the most important artist of this decade. I’m not the first to say so. Here is one of his popular videos.

Last night in NYC Literature: Erik Stinson and several business associates staring at [a very famous comic book creator] and [the most famous guitarist in early-2000s NYC garage rock] while enjoying a beverage the Playboy March Issue Release party – Boom Boom Room, Standard Hotel.

There are the tired images of materiel pleasures we no longer desire.

They are like older actresses, or Twentieth Century genre fiction gone out of fashion. They are Tom Clancy and Leon Uris.
