HTMLGIANT suggests you become a fan of not creating a fan page for yourself on Facebook and inviting people to come become a fan of you via an autoemail that doesn’t even have enough self respect to pretend like someone else did it for you. Anyway, people often mostly only like the things they find on their own time. The best ads are smart enough to not be ads.
Busted.
Advertising vs. PR, duh.
a large % of PR people seem to not know the difference
I can get behind this. I hate fan pages. I don’t want to be a fan of people I know let alone people I don’t know and all too often I receive such requests from complete strangers.
That’s because they’re morons and they should give me their jobs.
To be clear, if people repeatedly spam the Artifice fb account with that shit, I unfriend them immediately.
I’ve thought abt it once or twice cuz the idea of a “fan page” seems like it fits w/ my whole project, kinda. But I don’t like them. Plus it’s like one more fucking thing to check and update and maintain.
yeah, I have to agree. I did it – loathe to update it when my facebook page serves the exact same purpose. Moments of narcissistic weakness or something of the like. I’d be embarrassed but I am not going to be, as long as there are people who are not my friends but fans I’ll keep it. I drew the line at creating a Wikipedia page for myself, those assholes really need to tone it down a bit.
Speaking of which, I just became a fan of this.
Smooches.
It’s weird, I know, that I’ve never been on Facebook. So I don’t have a fucking clue what any of this means. So fuck you (meanweekiscontagious)
NO you may not have a fan page.
wtf. i swear i did not make that.

I have a fan page that I did not make, which is hilarious to me so I became a fan of it and posted it on my wall. The thing is now, as soon as somebody lists something as one of their interests, other people can become a fan of it.
Well aren’t we the noble luddite. Savage. Whatever.
