It’s not the best survey in the world, science-wise, but I made one and you can take it pretty fast I bet, anonymously, and it would help me understand things. Thanks.

      Regarding (I think, it won’t let me see the questions anymore) question 4, where you ask: Is the quality of writing generally better coming from Independent Presses than Mainstream Presses?

      Yes and No don’t really cover where I stand, which is: it depends?

      Yeah, I call bullshit on that question as well (it’s number three). It’s just as stupid to blindly hate everything a given press (be it Knopf, Dalkey, Mud Luscious) publishes as it is to blindly love it. You of all people should know this — did Shane Jones’ book get any better or worse when Penguin published it?
