Dickens: Unhappy.

Childhood: Happy or Unhappy?

Happy in retrospect. Unhappily uncomfortable at the time.

Un but not for any good reason. I had a Gameboy and a lot of soda. What I was missing was the ability to drive and pay $10 for a pizza if I wanted to and to flit with women. To hell with childhood. Also, as Joseph said above, uncomfortable. Why? I don’t know. I was a large kid and always felt weird in my clothes like they were webs clinging to my belly and arms.

Should have been happy, but I was a serious and melancholy child.

Happy and unhappy, like the best of Dickens.
