Gene Wolfe Chosen as SFWA Grand Master
The SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) has named one of my favorite writers, Gene Wolfe as the 2012 recipient of the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award. Which is like being the Chaos Lord of American sci-fi/fantasy writers.
Also, Tor Books is rereleasing 19 out-or print Gene Wolfe books in e-book form, including Shadow & Claw, Sword & Citadel, and the Island of Dr. Death and Other Stories.
I read it “Daemon Knight”, which made it seem way cooler (or maybe far less cool) than it is. On a semi-related note, is there any Warhammer 40K fiction that is tolerable from a literary perspective?
look at that man
This is pure speculation, since I have not read the books. But probably the closest you can get is with Ian Watson:

Hyperbole. Many of these books were NOT out of print, as a quick Amazon search will show.
