I was wondering, when you think about submitting a full-length manuscript to a press, how much do you consider how long they’re going to be around for? If you don’t feel like answering that, at least go watch this very funny .gif (via Very Most Good).

      Hey Adam,

I’m currently in the process of submitting a full-length manuscript…and of all the varied concerns I’ve been having, the longevity of the publisher had not been one of them. Maybe/probably this is because I’m reluctant to send it to someplace that’s not already well established (what does “well-established” mean?), which maybe is the inverse of your question: like I’m worried about how long a publisher has been around already (&/or what they’ve published thus far), not how long its gonna be around.

ps – that Diddy/Bjork gif was very enjoyable

Well, yeah. I think if a place is established, that can indicate how long they will last. It’s the same thing sorta.
