Here’s a fun toy! Translation Party translates your English sentences to Japanese, then back to English, then back again, until it achieves equilibrium. Naturally, hilarity ensues.

      ooh, this one almost shorted out translation party — took 46 steps to hit equilibrium:

      I got from:

      Murder me up on the hill and leave me there

      to

      On the hill, I killing Me

      What do they mean by equilibrium? I’m serious. I really don’t know.

      This thing is fucking awesome, Just. I used to do something similar on Babelfish, like just inserting a piece of text and going from Eng to Russ to French to German and back into Eng. The results on this are much better. Gracias. Good grab.

      I think I might have broken this plugging in a Gary Lutz sentence.

      Here was the result, from “The wedding was curt and almost entirely without result” to:

      Okay here is a far superior one. A ridiculous Blood Meridian quote: The mother dead these fourteen years did incubate in her own bosom the creature who would carry her off.

      down to:

      Biological mother’s age, year 1817 witnessed cardiac death.

      In the bosom of her own biological mother’s death was incubated to determine the 14 years off her.

      The biological mother of her own death to determine heart was incubated in 14 years.

      14-year-old mother to death to determine the biological and cultural center of her own old.

      Very nice. Actually, finding Equilibrium can cause a whole poem: per aspera ad astra so to say.

      Nah, that was nice:

      What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
      By any other name would smell as sweet

      =>

      How many people? His name as I am as sweet
      as the day of hope as much as possible

      and a note by the system:

      “It is doubtful that this phrase will ever reach equilibrium.”

      =======FAZIT========

      For some reason the word ‘one’ appears 26 times in the translation.
