   I’m not sure about mine. A few months ago on Zoetrope I saw a thread from Joe Levens (Summerset Review Editor) that he had a story rejected around 50 times just taken by Cream City Review.

   I wish I had a friend named Tommy Z.

   I’m going to guess my record is about 20.

   Same as your friend. Got picked up by fiction international a few weeks ago. The story has a number in the title. I was gonna stop at that number.

   17, but every time it came back i’d do some kind of revision to it, so i don’t know if that counts. actually, i don’t know if i’ve ever sent the exact same story to more than one place before.

    wow! i’ve heard stories like that before. i need to check mine to see. i know the highest last time i checked was about 15 tries before having a poem published :)
