Justin Taylor—
This is what it looks like where I live right now. Readings were canceled tonight. Schools are closed tomorrow. I uploaded a few more pics here, if anyone wants to see them.
I was going to make a joke about how you must want to fuck this snow, but then I was worried that it would be taken seriously.
had a lot of snow in mid-missouri lately, but not reading-canceled snow.

I told you nyorkers do not complain about snow.

That does not seem like a lot of snow to me.

I was walking around all day in the snowing yesterday trying to find a new apartment. it got annoying.

i’ve got to say, those pictures don’t really do any justice. my cousin and i got stuck in the west village trying to walk to meet a friend, were only outside for twenty minutes, and my jacket completely froze over, couldn’t see a block in any direction, my fucking beard even froze.

oh but i should say that i love winter the most because i like to pretend that new york is actually like a forest in norway or something

I was going to agree with Adam that the snow doesn’t look that bad, but I guess when you put the snow in a densely populated, city area, things get bad pretty easily. I live in the suburbs of Kansas City, so it takes a large amount of snow to shut things down.

Well for the first eight hours or so that it was snowing, it was melting on contact because it was in the high thirties. But then the sun went down and the snow itself began coming down in sheets. I took these last night around 11. If you want to see the progress since then, try the NYT “Blizzard Hammers Northeast.” http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/27/us/27snow.html?hp

how much snow did yall get?
the snow just ended here. we got maybe five inches. i’m in philadelphia.
a few weeks ago we got around two feet of snow. there were many giant penis-sculptures. i saw a police van stop so two young cops could get out to photograph one particularly majestic penis-sculpture. that snow still is not completely gone.
does anyone else find all this slightly unnerving?
