You know, Jennifer Kroot made an interesting documentary about him and his brother called It Came From Kuchar, which was on Netflix streaming — hopefully/maybe it still is?
Would be cool if you and/or Mike Kitchell and/or Adam Jameson (our resident cinephiles) wrote something about his work. I know only a bit more than I learned from Kroot’s documentary, so I’d be eager to learn. From what I know, the films seem amazing in a sort of Captain Beefheart meets Ed Wood type of way.
That’s really too bad. And Chris, I’m not really the guy to write about Kuchar. I know his work, but only passingly, really. But a bunch of my friends in the Chicago film scene are big Kuchar fans; if any of them post anything, I’ll put a link here.
