Loneliness

Haven’t really read anything beyond “The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner,” but read that a while back and enjoyed it thoroughly. So, here’s one for Alan Sillitoe, to mark the old man’s passing. It’s Tuesday, go right ahead:

      I always loved the Iron Maiden song, and for some reason, unlike so many of the bands other literary references, I never got around to tracking down the original short story.

      Both ‘Loneliness’ and ‘Saturday Night’ are excellent, and both the films are beautiful also.
