This looks cool.
Indie pop musicians Britta Phillips and Dean Wareham did a thing at the Museum of Contemporary Art here in Chicago where they composed and performed new music for a bunch of Warhol films, mostly the ones that are like portraits of individuals.
It was pretty cool, although I kinda felt like Dean & Britta’s music, which is pleasant but fairly ordinary retro/60’s-ish/sometimes psychedelic-ish indie pop/rock, fit the films almost a little too naturally so that the effect was like background music, mundane… would’ve liked to see a more dynamic score that maybe explored tension w/ the visuals in some more interesting or memorable way.
