   That’s better than when someone says “Read this and please be brutal, tear it to pieces.” Because that is never what they mean. They only say it because they expect you to think it’s genius.

   Marian, this is very true during workshop. I find students who come in and say, “Now don’t hold back, guys. Rip it up!” are often the most dejected afterward.
