I’m tipping over backwards
I’m so ambitious
I’m looking back I’m
Running a race and you’re the book I read soFeel my fingers as they

I’m spinning around but I feel alright

Read a Book
by PylonIt’s a concept. It’s a feeling
I’m learning more almost every day
I think I know what you mean
Turn off the TV
You can learn more
Try to do without itRead a book,
Don’t be afraid
No, no, no, no

sometimes i get the song that big bird sings that is the-pronunciation-of-the-alphabet-as-a-word stuck in my head – it’s really annoying – and it usually just comes out of the blue with no warning and no reason – but not this morning
the weird thing is my dad used to pronounce the alphabet as a word for us kids when we were little and it sounded different from big bird’s version
the two pronunciations would start out the same and then diverge
big bird’s version, (sung) : ab suh def juh hidg’kle mennop ker toov rix iz
my dad’s version, (spoken) : ab suh def juh hickle um nup cure-ess tuv wuckzy
(i don’t think he was even aware of big bird’s version)
i would go over each pronunciation letter by letter to try to understand
(i know, my dad’s version left out the j – that always bothered me)
so, thanks for the reminder of this slice of my childhood by posting the reading rainbow song, which was a different show than sesame street, i know
can there be an “IRL” reading too maybe sometime? id go, i think
that’d be tight, i’m glad you thought of it as a reading so did i
can’t believe i left t rex in the fridge
