When Picasso tried his hand at poetry, Gertrude Stein was livid! She said something like, “Things belong to people, and writing belongs to me.” Do you share this proprietary feeling about writing, or anything else you do or like? What belongs to you and not your friends/family?  If you say the Simpsons or Bob Dylan you’re an a-one moron.

fuck g. stein and her stupid buttons.

everyone should write who wants to write. i’m not doing anything great. hopefully somebody else will.

although, once i had a girlfriend essentially take up writing essentially because “she could do anything i could.”

      we’re no longer together.

      thankfully.

      i’m drunk.

      Speaking of dylan…

reminds me of the book positively fourth street… http://www.amazon.com/Positively-4th-Street-Farina-Richard/dp/086547642X

Richard Farina was jealous of Dylan’s musical fame and rock star status… Dylan was jealous of Richard Farina’s literary life and novel and the fact he was dating the hotter and considerably less annoying Baez sister… Farina bit it right after “Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me” was published but not before he recorded a couple of albums…

Stein’s next sentence was “Belonged in people, mine was writing, thinging to me, thinging, ing.”

After my work out, I blend a cup and a half of whole milk, one cup of frozen wild blueberries, one frozen banana, half cup of whole milk plain yogurt, tablespoon of peanut butter, blend and devour. It’s a good mix of protein, carbs, and fiber. You can also throw in some flax seeds, walnuts or almonds. There’s no added sugar and it’s packed with high quality protein. It’s like drinking a blueberry-banana gelato.

Farina didn’t die. He just went underground and starting writing horrid books under the nomé de plume ‘Pynchon’.
      Truth.
