Kind of crushing article at Wired about the recently disbanded, 12 year process of creation, repetition, competition, innovation involved on creating the failed video game sequel Duke Nukem Forever: “George Broussard, co-owner of 3D Realms and the man who headed the Duke Nukem Forever project for its entire 12-year run. Now 46 years old, he’d spent much of his adult life trying to make a single game, and failed over and over again.”
god, i’m tempted not to read it for pain… i’ve been waiting for that game for 12 years, too.

I remember Duke Nukem 3D. Not a huge gamer,and even I was looking forward to the sequel. That game was so much fun!

we are amlost exactly 20 years apart. he was supposed to be born on my birthday but my exwife got really sick with some weird disease that basically poisons her body to try to kill the foreign intruder, aka the baby, so he had to come out a little early.
