Am in the process of teaching myself about Speculative Realism, Object Oriented Ontology, etc.
Cyclonopedia keeps haunting me — I have yet to finish it — I read a little and then put it down, then time passes so when I pick it up again I have to go back and reread what I read before and then I put it down again — maybe I’m meant to never finish it? Maybe I’ll wait until The Mortiloquist comes out in July and then tackle them back to back.
ditto — i’m ~halfway through meillassoux’s after finitude, and i’ve picked through the first four issues of collapse over the last couple of years (though now i’m trying to read them straight through– the second issue starts with a response to the meillassoux text so i figured it was high time i finally read it). cyclonopedia is another one i have it made it all the way through; i feel like sometime i need to try to marathon through it. & yeah, talking to negarestani about the mortiloquist has me super excited about it. have you read any nick land? his book on bataille is fucking magick. i am simultaneously convinced that i completely did not understand it while i’m also convinced it totally swallowed me whole. i have his collected writings pre-ordered, really really excited about that too.
That video is incredible.
I love Urbanomic, love Collapse magazine.
