      That is seriously awesome. I just read my first Simenon a few weeks ago – The Engagement. I loved it. It was a potently psychological portrait, and painfully unsentimental. I’ll definitely be reading the rest of his books. Does anyone know if his Maigret mysteries are as good as his ‘roman durs’?
