My friends over at RapGenius put up a pretty excellent post on the triple entendre in hip-hop.  I tried to think of some triple entendres off the top of my head, and now the top of my head hurts.

I do this fairly often w/ #twitterfoundpoem, as it’s pretty easy to find tweets on any keyword and find three distinct usages. I’ll dig around my page and offer some examples. It’s not that hard, it’s just that rappers mostly suck as poets.

Also, what’s with the brute admiration of a single tool in the poet’s toolkit? I think someone is trying to hard to use ‘high art’ justifications for why he enjoys rap.

Miranda July’s ‘fuck your gender.’ In one of her short stories she says it has two or more meanings, and after obsessing over it, I found the third meaning and felt good about life.

Ok, read the article and I am now confused. Is this an example of homophone?

Just listened to that on the audio book for the first time. A DAMN fine story, as Agent Cooper would say…

Ha, ha. “Homophone.” That’s good. I know what you mean by that.

      How About ‘I’m still sick.’
Sick – a cold or cough
      Sick – metally disturbed
      Sick – cool, outrageous

      Please advise
