I always thought Shane Smith looked Giger, as well.

The interview, very cool. I keep seeing this trend where artists retire to TV. Like Kingsley Amis kept saying Terminator @ was HIS movie, once older, and he kept watching it over and over. Fine movie, BTW, for what it is, but I was a little bit wondering why K Amis went there. M Amis never got it.
But maybe TV/mainstream movies are like the the new “out to graze” for older artists?
It makes some sense, but others?

Centralia is a short drive over the mountain from here. That interview is good. I never knew of Giger. Was a huge Lovecraft fan in the 70’s (yeah I’m that old), and dug Alien. Never knew the connection, thanks. Have a copy of the “Simon” Necronomicon.
It’s funny you link these things together. Both have much spook factor.
A side note: Hippocampus Press is all things Lovecraft and beyond.
