Call me old fashioned, but I think stealing someone else’s work and pretending that it’s your own is lazy, and borderline criminal. I get that we live in a re-mix culture, but shouldn’t there be, uh, like, rules? This kind of logic, that it’s acceptable to just take what you want from others without giving them credit or compensation, is fucking infantile. How would this girl feel is someone transcribed her entire novel and slapped their name on it and claimed it as their own? Is that okay? The only reason people steal is because they can.
