Really? Why not use this space for music that is actually good? Not sure if your trying to be funny posting this “band” but good music on this website every once in a while would certainly be beneficial. I get the comical video post but throw in something decent.

,” he said as though what is “good” is utterly unambiguous and beyond dispute. Which he knew it to be. Except that the “band” that he blinkered in diminutive quotation marks–hardly willing to concede that they’d earned even that minimal status–was actually a fairly influential band cited by the likes of Green Day and others who went on to somewhat wider, less ambiguous fates, and put out albums like “Zen Arcade,” cited by Rolling Stone as the 33rd best album of the 1980s (which I suppose included comedy but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t what was intended), as well as ranked ahead of “Nevermind” by Spin in their list of top alternative albums and stuff.
But all that aside, having once been a pretty big Husker Du fan myself and picking up a little Third Policeman allusion in the heading–now there’s some comedy–I am curious, Matthew, what made you connect these two?
Though I am currently reading The Third Policeman, this was just a reference to an earlier post where Mather commented that he didn’t like it when lit blogs posted music videos. I was being a dick.
Andy’s comments have me stumped. People who don’t like Husker Du stump me. But, Andy, please. What should I be posting? What would you consider “good”?

I’m only stating my opinion here. I don’t understand people who like Husker Du and those who like Huster Du are stumped by me. People clearly take offense to objections to Husker Du.

Or I guess it was for Mather, not re:Mathers from Third Policeman. Ha!
awesome.

It’s amazing how many literary blogs post music videos. Luckily I can’t hear this because I don’t have speakers.

if that dude doesn’t like even zen arcade, then no one should care what he thinks is “good”

Fair enough. But what about the question? What would you prefer?

If I’m picking from this general time period I would prefer the Replacements.

Please keep great bands off your shitty, insincere, anti-authenticity poetry blog.
