We need somebody to handle advertising on the site and to provide some assistance with structuring said potential revenue stream. It is a paid position.
If you’re interested, send an email about yourself and any business experience you’ve had to htmlgiant@gmail.com.

The Dave Eggers directed short film with James Franco on the new Wholphin is some of the best video art I’ve seen in a while. Dude goes at it for almost thirty minutes.
NEW HTMLGIANT
The new site will go live this weekend, unless my wife has a baby.
If you have any observations or criticism in regards to the new site (and give me a little while to get it all working), please flame me in this post.
Love you guys, and I hope my small changes improve your overall HTMLGIANT experience.
Walden: The Video Game is going to exist. I seriously hope they don’t ruin the gun battles.
Got Balzac Close to My Face, Ho
After an initial rejection by Apple due to its inclusion of ‘Ways Tom Jones Would Dance With Your Mother,’ the ebook reader Eucalyptus is available to all people/assholes with an iPhone or iPod touch.
The interface is nice, the size of the text is scalable, and it gives you easy access to the 20,000+ book large Project Gutenberg. It’s not like it’ll make me any less thirsty for Tao Lin on a Kindle, but it’s fun to browse through so many nice books written by so many nice dead people.
If you have iTunes, you can check it out here.

I’m sorry for spamming the site.
I Was Wondering Which Programs Other People Use to Write Their Shitty Poetry
For years I just used TextEdit. It’s free, simple, and takes a second to load on even the slowest computer. I own Word, but Word takes like five minutes to load on my three-year old computer, and is sans Clippy these days, which was one of my only reasons for opening Word. I’ve tried various ‘serious MFA literature’ text editors, stuff like Ulysses and WriteRoom, but beyond their really great full screen modes, they didn’t really give me positive emotions.
I started using Pages this year, and I have been pretty happy. It has full screen mode, and I got turned-on to the typeface BiauKai, which doesn’t have bold or italic versions, but I use on everything I write anyway because I don’t like bolds or italics. Also, I’m hoping to make a sweet family newsletter sometime in the near future, and Pages looks like a real winner for that kind of thing. *fingers crossed*
Time Has Passed, Now Lets Get Some Love and Tenderness
In late December I’m going to redesign this site. I’m pretty sure we’re going to move towards a more magazine-type blog, mostly because I’ve found some good templates to steal and why the fuck not, but other than that I’d like to hear some suggestions from the fine people who visit the site.
Do we need a flash intro? Animated gif backgrounds? More pop-ups?
Also, there’s the whole issue of women and how we smell like hot trash to them. Can we fix this? Is it possible to save ourselves from becoming, as Mike Young put it in a very poignant email last night, “a boys’ yuk yuk fag joke club.” I mean, I love a tasteless joke as much as Sam Pink, but we’ve got to temper it with some sweet love and tenderness if we’re going to make this relationship work.
I think. You guys know better than I do, I just build the framework.
I Posted a New Bear Parade Book
I posted a new Bear Parade book today. It’s the thirteenth book for the site, and it has thirteen chapters. My thirteenth birthday was on Friday the thirteenth, so get freaked-out or something. The world is going to end, and it’s my fault.
The book is by Noah Cicero, and is about vampires, existence, and how awesome Elvis and lemon-shakes are. I’m excited. Also, I designed it, so I probably should be.
I’m a shitty editor, so if you see any typos or grammatical mistakes, email me so I can fix them. I love you.
Happy Halloween.
